Etruscans With a “Fat Etruscan”
Etruscans, or Tirrenians, are the ancient people of Tuscany and northern
Lazio. Nine centuries of civilization. They were the teachers, priests, and
water engineers of the ancient Romans until the end of the empire. Etruscan
society is unique: the emancipated Etruscan woman, the family, art, food,
music, and dance (video of two ballets choreographed exclusively for Paolo
Villoresi) Farmers, goldsmiths, navigators, merchants, and pirates. The
blood of the Etruscans certainly ran through the veins of the people living
during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and it still runs today in the
people of Tuscany: the artists, craftsmen, designers, and chefs.
